Creative Writing

Lindfield Arts Festival will be hosting an inspiring range of creative writing events over the weekend.

Local authors have been invited to come and give readings of their latest works. During the weekend there will also be workshops for people interested in creative writing to explore skills that form the basis for creative writing. The workshops will aim to: discuss the creative process; explore the techniques used for by writers during their research; investigate how the arts can be a huge aid to creative inspiration; and probe into how a writer works to bring an idea from its genesis through to a finished work.

There will also be an opportunity for any inspired writers of all ages to explore a specially created a collaborative fiction space on social media and participate in flash fiction; an exciting and modern form of high-energy prose.

Watch this space for further details as they are announced!

If you are a local author, would like to run a workshop in creative writing, or would like to get involved in other ways as part of the Creative Writing element of this year’s festival, please feel free to get in touch via enquiries@lindfieldartsfestival.com.
